Booking your appointment:
It is highly recommended that you book or re-book your appointment 2-3 weeks in advance or before leaving the salon as we do get busy and we work on a ' Its best to have an appointment & be able to re-arrange it, that struggle to get in at all' policy. This avoids disappointment.
Advanced booking:
In the case that you require a regular appointment slot, weekly or monthly. Please speak to our reception team. We will then endeavour to do our best to take care of your future appointments up to a 3 month period.
Cancellations:
If for any reason you cannot attend your appointment, We kindly request that you give us the courtesy of 24 hours notice so we can or re-arrange cancel your appointment and allow us sufficient time to offer your appointment time to other clients.
Cancellation list:
As we get quite busy from time to time we do offer a cancellation / waiting list. Please inform our reception team if you wish to add your name to this list if a certain appointment time is unavailable to you.
Arriving late:
Arriving late for your appointment will deprive you of valuable treatment time. As a result you may end up with a shorter treatment or in some cases we may have to re-schedule. To be courteous to fellow clients, if you do arrive late, your appointment will end at its original scheduled time.

Children:
Due to the nature of our business, for health & safety reasons, and to help aid the relaxation of fellow clients we strongly suggest that you refrain from bringing children into the salon. It is not Akira's responsibility to look after or keep out of harms way any children brought into the salon environment.
Mobile Phones:
To aid you to un wind and relax and to aid that of fellow clients, we recommend that you turn your mobile phone off or switch them to silent mode to avoid unnecessary disruption.
Treatment Recommendations:
Once you have your appointment booked, here are a few tips that we have put together for you to help ensure your time with us is relaxing and enjoyable.
• Try to arrive with time to relax prior to your treatment. this will allow for a refreshment and your therapist to record your needs and requests.
• Bring open toe shoes / sandals when having a pedicure or any treatment that require drying time for polish on your toes.
• Remember to disclose any medical information you feel we should be aware of when booking your appointment time.
• Try to exfoliate and moisturise any dry patches of skin prior to having a spray tan, but remember to NOT use make up / moisturisers / deodorant on the day of tanning and wear loose clothing.
• A patch test is required 48hours minimum prior to having eyebrow / eyelash / brows or any eyelash extensions. this is for your safety as your body can become allergic at any time.
